This Cookie Policy explains how Draw My Tree, operated by Prescott Bros LLC, uses cookies and similar browser storage. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. "Local storage" is a related browser mechanism that lets a site keep small amounts of data on your device. Both let the app remember things between visits.
What we use
- Strictly necessary: authentication. Our sign-in provider, Clerk, sets cookies that keep you securely signed in and protect against fraud. The Service cannot function without these.
- Preferences. We store your display preferences, such as text size and the tree's appearance settings, in your browser's local storage so the app looks the way you left it.
- Guest trees. If you build a tree without an account, that tree is kept on your device in your browser's IndexedDB storage until you sign up and save it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
- Payments. When you subscribe, our payments provider Polar may set cookies on its hosted checkout that are needed to process the payment securely.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using core features, and clearing local storage will remove guest trees and reset your preferences.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
